In school I had weeks where I totally fell out due to a heavy migraine attack. This physical condition was diagnosed when I was 11. For years I used to take Ibuprofen to stop my attacks when they came again. Somehow I accepted to live with this problem. In 2014 I sat on the plane from Berlin to Chicago when I read an article on studies to prevent migraine attacks. It said that an animal based diet would cause inflammatories and therefore would trigger migraine attacks.This made me rethink my diet. I started slowly becoming a Vegan. In January 2015 I ate my last piece of meat and since then I never ever ate meat again. In 2017 I ran my first half-marathon. In 2018 with 28 I ran my first full marathon with a time of 3.37h. I never really trained professionally - but I am convinced it was just my will and my diet.Since 2019 I have also tried to abandon gluten from my diet. As a Vegan it is already a challenge but being both is even more challenging. Since I have a friend that is gluten intolerant it makes it easier when hunting for food. Cooking was always my secret passion. My mother is an extraordinary cook. I would dare to say that she is the one that inspired me writing this book.For you, I have gathered meals that belong to my daily cooking routine. I hope you will enjoy this cook book. |
