angel in other language: Angel Words Doreen Virtue, Grant Virtue, 2010-11-15 When Doreen and her son Grant Virtue were recording podcasts, they noticed that whenever she said the word angel, the recording graphics were shaped like angel wings! So they studied the other words she said and realized that those with a spiritual or loving basis had large graphs. So they experimented with saying negative words and found that their appearance was completely different: tight and small. Similar to Masaru Emoto’s work with water crystals, Angel Words gives visual proof of the power and impact of speaking in a loving way. You’ll come to understand why positive words express the most energy and therefore have the most power to manifest your dreams. You'll also see how negative words have low energy and read how they can actually draw negative experiences to you. This unforgettable book will immediately motivate you to choose positive words! |
angel in other language: The Language of Angels Richard Michelson, 2017-02-21 2018 Sydney Taylor Book Award 2017 National Jewish Book Award In 1885, few Jews in Israel used the holy language of their ancestors, and Hebrew was in danger of being lost—until Ben Zion and his father got involved. angel in other language: An Angel's Way Barbara Ann O'Keefe, 2013-02-15 An Angels Way, although fiction, contains real Scriptures, ready to fill your heart as you find your way to healing in this tragic world in which we live. In the story, we follow the life path of two people. We begin with an angel born human, and then as she gets older, she meets a man, a medical doctor, and they fall in love. Tragedy strikes, and he loses her. The world was near the end, with thousands of people injured in terrorist attacks, new diseases, new resistances to drugs, and then the children began to die. Although he was full of grief, he pressed forward, searching in desperation for cures. He was about to lose all hope when she re-entered his life. Unknown to the man, God had sent his angel to Earth to teach healing in biblical ways, as the revelations of end times were at hand. Earthquakes and storms were everywhere, but he continued his work until he was finally able to heal the children. The world going crazy, thousands dying, and one man had the answer to true, divine healing. How far would he be willing to go in order to heal the sick? Why do we suffer as Christians? How much is it worth to be able to serve God? With the ultimate price comes the greatest blessing! Breathe in the healing No matter the danger all around We still have, instilled in us, the God-given desire to heal the sick. |

angel in other language: The Angel’s Corpse P. Colilli, 1999-10-28 With the great merit of Aristotle's Poetics , poetic logic became a theoretical activity endowed with a philosophical nature allowing it to be more philosophical than the pure representation of existence. Today, however, the theoretical status of poetic logic has been greatly demoted. The Angel's Corpse restores to poetic logic (or lyric philosophy) the cognitive and epistemological significance attributed to it by Aristotle. The Angel's corpse (the central metaphor in this restoration) is a sign-post beyond which there exists an uncharted terrain of human signification. This terrain is expressed in terms of lyric philosophy and its universal trait is a shocking into reawakening, which is linked to the dissolution of the repetitive logic of history. With this book, Colilli aims to bring to life the traits that are close to the Angel and which amount to a new philosophy of culture and interpretation. This philosophy is free from the ideological burden of previous systems, but pivots its cognito-epistemological premises on the idea of reawakening. |
angel in other language: No Ordinary Angel Susan R. Garrett, 2008-01-01 In this provocative, intelligent, and highly original addition to the Anchor Yale Bible Reference Library, Susan R. Garrett argues that angel talk has never been merely about angels. Rather, from ancient times until the present, talk about angels has served as a vehicle for reflection on other fundamental life questions, including the nature of God's presence and intervention in the world, the existence and meaning of evil, and the fate of humans after death. In No Ordinary Angel, Garrett examines how biblical and other ancient authors addressed such questions through their portrayals of angels. She compares the ancient angel talk to popular depictions of angels today and considers how the ancient and modern portraits of angels relate to Christian claims about Jesus. No Ordinary Angel offers important insights into the development of angelology, the origins of Christology, and popular Western spirituality ranging from fundamentalist to New Age. In doing so, it provokes stimulating theological reflection on key existential questions. |

angel in other language: Language Across the Curriculum & CLIL in English as an Additional Language (EAL) Contexts Angel M.Y. Lin, 2016-09-15 This book will be of interest to a broad readership, regardless of whether they have a background in sociolinguistics, functional linguistics or genre theories. It presents an accessible “meta-language” (i.e. a language for talking about language) that is workable and usable for teachers and researchers from both language and content backgrounds, thus facilitating collaboration across content and language subject panels. Chapters 1 to 3 lay the theoretical foundation of this common meta-language by critically reviewing, systematically presenting and integrating key theoretical resources for teachers and researchers in this field. In turn, Chapters 4 to 7 focus on issues in pedagogy and assessment, and on school-based approaches to LAC and CLIL, drawing on both research studies and the experiences of front-line teachers and school administrators. Chapter 8 provides a critical and reflexive angle on the field by asking difficult questions regarding how LAC and CLIL are often situated in contexts characterized by inequality of access to the linguistic and cultural capitals, where the local languages of the students are usually neglected or viewed unfavourably in relation to the L2 in mainstream society, and where teachers are usually positioned as recipients of knowledge rather than makers of knowledge. In closing, Chapter 9 reviews the state of the art in the field and proposes directions for future inquiry. |

Among these artefacts are portals known as Stations, which our spacecraft now use to traverse the galaxy. angel in other language: The Angel’S Riddle James V. Head, 2017-09-29 First century Christians endured severe persecution, including death, from both the Jews and Romans. The Revelation of Jesus Christ was recorded by the Apostle John primarily to give those beleaguered souls strength and hope as their world became increasingly intolerable. They needed to know that God had not forgotten them. The Angels Riddle is the result of an exhaustive critical analysis of the symbolism and imagery Jesus used to convey His message of hope. A progressive process was used to analyze and decode each part of the message into a clear and concise format. This is a deep study meant to be used with your Bible and suitable materials to record any crib notes you may desire to make along the way. Commentary is provided as you progress through the book. Details, symbols, and difficult language are broken down into manageable groups through analysis and comparison to multiple Bible passages; backed up by only the Word of God. The Angels Riddle is a critical analysis and study of the most difficult book in the Bible. Dont hurry; your patience will be rewarded. I will attest that, though many have tried, few could have succeeded as Jim has in peeling back Revelations many layers. Jim has summarized centuries of biblical scholarship, and pulled together a deep and impressive bibliography. In the process, he became a Revelation scholar himself. - Larry Prescott, PhD. |
angel in other language: Angel Communication Code Stephen J. Silva, 2024-02-12 What is presented in this is not a topic-by-topic review of what is already known but rather; it pulls together what is already known and combines this information with fresh new insights with a singular focus. The book establishes the common thread leading to a new way to establish 2-way Extraterrestrial Communication. This presentation is unique and has never before been conceived or put to the test. For the past decade, the author has been conducting research and studying the science of extraterrestrial existence and extraterrestrial communication means and methods. The result of all of the research in combination with the dream-like vision of an extraterrestrial communication code has culminated into the publication of two books on the subject. This book is the second. The vision came to the author is very much the same sort of vision several Nobel Prize winning scientist experienced leading to their discoveries (cited herein). This book takes the reader on a journey that leads directly to a scientifically based hypothesis about establishing ET communication. It further presents the foundation of an experiment designed to put that hypothesis to the test consistent with the universally accepted standard scientific method. The next step is to execute the experiment proposed and get ready to communicate with our brothers out there in the universe beyond earth. |

Predictably, Poizat's route is not at all a conventional one. He reports on an informal group interview with overnight standees on the Paris Opera House steps as they compare notes on how opera became an addiction. |

angel in other language: The Oldest Angel B. K. Holder, 2022-12-16 The Oldest Angel: Walk a Mile in Their Shoes By: B. K. Holder The book is written by the first human-like creation of God, before he left his native civilization and created the universe we live in today. The story blends science with religion to explain common myths in a simple manner from the perspective of someone who was there when it happened and has first hand knowledge. The explanations have fact, with a blend of fiction to have the reader scratch their head and think it may be true. Others may find it as an answer. Mixed with these explanations are the story of the angel going to earth as requested by his father to live with humans, for a perspective of the current state of humanity. The author made major contributions with humans to shape who they are. He settles in West Texas as a home and goes to work in the oil industry. He gets married and has a child. Over time, he figures out why he was sent to earth. By 2020 humanity had taken a wrong turn and he was the one to blame. |

angel in other language: Fixers Zrinka Stahuljak, 2024-02-16 In this book, Zrinka Stahuljak issues a challenge to scholars working in medieval studies to account for the history of translation, and to experts in translation studies to read the work of medievalists. Focusing on the term fixer, she unpacks modern uses of the words interpreter and translator and restores them to their premodern origins: as an active agent who performed a wide range of tasks, as insider informant, local guide, broker of knowledge, and transmitter of art. For Stahuljak, the fixer was a multifunctional intermediary, not a mere translator or interpreter (in the restricted modern sense), but an enabler, facilitator, and mediator, the engine driving the exchange of multiple linguistic, social, cultural, and topographic forms of knowledge. She proposes a paradigmatic shift for both medieval literary history and for the history of translation to confront and interrogate each other in their core disciplinary practices, which promote national, political, and colonial agendas masked as neutrality. Surveying a variety of texts from 1250 to 1500, including crusade treatises and travel writings, accounts of pilgrims and spies, chronicles and romances in both prose and verse, and traversing an impressive range of languages, including Latin, Middle French, German, Italian, and Spanish, Stahuljak asks both medievalists and translation studies scholars to reconsider their assumptions and methods as a way to reconstruct a premodern, precolonial, inclusive world literature-- |

angel in other language: The Equality of Flesh Brent Dawson, 2024-06-15 The Equality of Flesh traces a new genealogy of equality before its formalization under liberalism. While modern ideas of equality are defined through an inner human nature, Brent Dawson argues that the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries conceptualized equality as an ambivalent and profoundly bodily condition. Everyone was made from the same lowly matter and, as a result, shared the same set of vulnerabilities, needs, and passions. Responding to the political upheavals of colonialism and the intellectual turmoil of new natural philosophies, leading figures of the English Renaissance, including Edmund Spenser and William Shakespeare, anxiously imagined that bodily commonality might undermine differences of religion, race, and class. As the period progressed, later authors developed the revolutionary possibilities of bodily equality even as new ideas of fixed racial inequality emerged. Some—like the utopian radical Gerrard Winstanley and the republican poet John Milton—challenged political absolutism through the idea of humans as base, embodied creatures. Others—like the heterodox philosopher Margaret Cavendish, the French theologian Isaac La Peyrère, and the libertine Cyrano de Bergerac—offered limited yet important interrogations of racial paradigms. This moment, Dawson shows, would pass, as bodily equality was marginalized in the liberal theories of John Locke and Thomas Hobbes. In its place, during the Enlightenment pseudoscientific racism would come to anchor inequality in the body. Contending with the lasting implications of material equality for modernity, The Equality of Flesh shows how increasingly vehement notions of racial difference eclipsed a nascent sense of human commonality rooted in the basic stuff of life. |

angel in other language: Your Guardian Angel and You Denny Sargent, 2004-02-15 Have you ever wondered why you don't feel entirely alone even when you are? Maybe it's because you really aren't. And if you attune yourself to that being of light that resides beside you, behind you, and in front of you, you will meet your constant companion, whose sole purpose is to guide you through life: your very own Guardian Angel. The time spent with your Guardian Angel here on earth can help you to reap great benefits during this lifetime. Denny Sargent writes, In my academic and personal research, I came upon the concept of the Guardian Angel a number of times over the years. I was amazed to discover instructions on how to meet your Guardian Angel that were thousands of years old. This changed my entire life. I no longer had to look to others for spiritual authority or wisdom. Then I discovered that every culture had within it the concept of a Guardian Angel or Guardian Spirit, or Ally. The idea transcends time and culture; it is universal. I felt that this secret should not be left hidden and obscure but should be dusted off, simplified, and offered to all. Your Guardian Angel and You is a thoroughly intriguing read about the fascinating history of the Guardian Angel, why you need one, and how to prepare to meet yours. In fact, if a feeling of dread ever kept you from taking a turn down a certain road, getting in a car, or taking a certain flight, you may already have met your Guardian Angel. Once you establish, nurture, and expand your relationship with your Guardian Angel, you can expect terrific things in return. Ask specific questions and receive specific answers. Define and refine your dreams. Lean on the wisdom and insight of your Guardian Angel to give you a form of heaven on Earth right now where your dreams can be lived. |

angel in other language: A Pattern Language Christopher Alexander, 2018-09-20 You can use this book to design a house for yourself with your family; you can use it to work with your neighbors to improve your town and neighborhood; you can use it to design an office, or a workshop, or a public building. And you can use it to guide you in the actual process of construction. After a ten-year silence, Christopher Alexander and his colleagues at the Center for Environmental Structure are now publishing a major statement in the form of three books which will, in their words, lay the basis for an entirely new approach to architecture, building and planning, which will we hope replace existing ideas and practices entirely. The three books are The Timeless Way of Building, The Oregon Experiment, and this book, A Pattern Language. At the core of these books is the idea that people should design for themselves their own houses, streets, and communities. This idea may be radical (it implies a radical transformation of the architectural profession) but it comes simply from the observation that most of the wonderful places of the world were not made by architects but by the people. At the core of the books, too, is the point that in designing their environments people always rely on certain languages, which, like the languages we speak, allow them to articulate and communicate an infinite variety of designs within a forma system which gives them coherence. This book provides a language of this kind. It will enable a person to make a design for almost any kind of building, or any part of the built environment. Patterns, the units of this language, are answers to design problems (How high should a window sill be? How many stories should a building have? How much space in a neighborhood should be devoted to grass and trees?). More than 250 of the patterns in this pattern language are given: each consists of a problem statement, a discussion of the problem with an illustration, and a solution. As the authors say in their introduction, many of the patterns are archetypal, so deeply rooted in the nature of things that it seemly likely that they will be a part of human nature, and human action, as much in five hundred years as they are today. |
