bemer therapy for cancer: Microbial Infections and Cancer Therapy Ananda M. Chakrabarty, Arsénio M. Fialho, 2019-02-13 This book deals with the emerging concept that certain pathogenic bacteria and viruses, when infecting people with cancer, actively fight tumors, allowing their regression. Although such observations go back more than 100 years, use of specific bacterial strains, or viruses, usually genetically modified with known anticancer drugs, and their protein/peptide products, has gained ground in recent years, allowing significant cancer regression in clinical trials with stage III/IV cancer patients or even in pediatric brain tumor patients, often without any demonstration of toxicity. It is composed of 12 chapters written by pioneers in microbial, biotech, and cancer research and covers the emerging roles of various microorganisms and their products in cancer therapy. The book highlights the benefits of using conventional cancer treatments (such as chemo- and radiotherapies) with microbial-based therapies. Such combinatorial therapies have gained particular attention as a strategy to overcome drug resistance, and the readers of the book will discover their impact on fundamental research and promising results from clinical trials. |

bemer therapy for cancer: A Parent’s Guide to Childhood Cancer Dagmara Beine, 2024-05-16 Indispensable . . . Dr. Beine provides a practical primer on integrative cancer therapies for children based on a metabolic framework of understanding the disease. I can’t recommend [this book] enough.”—Chris Kresser, MS, LAc, founder of Kresser Institute; New York Times bestselling author An invaluable, revolutionary, research-based resource for parents—grounded in nutrition, detoxification, and mental wellbeing, while aiming to reduce suffering and promote long-term recovery. “Your child has cancer.” Every day, forty-three American families hear these words, thrusting them headlong into the terrifying and unfamiliar territory of pediatric oncology. In A Parent’s Guide to Childhood Cancer, pediatric oncology specialist Dagmara Beine guides readers through the most difficult scenario a parent will ever face—a child’s diagnosis of life-threatening disease—and argues that the greatest tragedy of conventional oncology is its failure to incorporate safe, effective, and potentially life-saving integrative therapies. In A Parent’s Guide to Childhood Cancer, Beine teaches parents how to effectively incorporate these integrative therapies alongside conventional oncology, including surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Beine’s approach is grounded in the metabolic approach to cancer—pioneered by the work of Dr. Nasha Winters—applied to a wildly underserved cancer patient population: children. Topics include: Understanding diagnoses and how to go about seeking a second opinion Assembling a medical team that includes both conventional and integrative oncology experts Essential tests—both conventional and integrative—and how to interpret them How to develop a metabolically healthy, anti-cancer nutrition plan Integrative therapies for specific diagnoses and reducing side effects How to harness post-treatment detoxification and gut-healing protocols The critical importance of, sleep, movement, stress reduction, and time outside Plus much more Therapies covered include: Mistletoe N-Acetyl Cysteine IV Vitamin C Cannabinoids Glutamine Glutathione Low-Dose Naltrexone Melatonin Hyperbaric Oxygen And more With cancer, Beine says, there is no silver bullet. But with a metabolic approach and the wise integration of simple and effective complementary therapies under the supervision of a metabolic oncology practitioner, there is a path forward to what every parent wants for their sons and daughters: a happy childhood. |

bemer therapy for cancer: Cancer and Society Eric H. Bernicker, 2019-03-04 While a number of books have looked at the intersection between human health in general and other topics, such as climate change or diet, this book focuses specifically on cancer as it impacts and is impacted by social justice issues. The massive explosion of research knowledge of cancer immunology and genomics is holding out great promise of therapeutic advances, yet other human actions—climate change, pollution, business decisions, advertising – are fostering health inequalities as well as increasing risks. Those involved in cancer care and research are in a unique position to let their experiences and knowledge inform the public, yet very often have not taken strong public roles when it comes to discussing issues surrounding tobacco, climate change and health risks, financial toxicity of treatments, and diet choices. Written by a multidisciplinary team of authors and for medical oncologists, cancer researchers, occupational health workers, and related medical students, residents, and fellows, this book encourages oncologists to address public health care and the societal issues associated with cancer risk. This volume discusses the overarching theme of environmental justice and oncology, focuses on business and cancer (such as clinical trials, drug development and profits, and global disparities), as well as animals and cancer. |

bemer therapy for cancer: PEMF - The Fifth Element of Health Bryant A. Meyers, 2013-08-19 You probably know that food, water, sunlight, and oxygen are required for life, but there is a fifth element of health that is equally vital and often overlooked: The Earth’s magnetic field and its corresponding PEMFs (pulsed electromagnetic fields). The two main components of Earth’s PEMFs, the Schumann and Geomagnetic frequencies, are so essential that NASA and the Russian space program equip their spacecrafts with devices that replicate these frequencies. These frequencies are absolutely necessary for the human body’s circadian rhythms, energy production, and even keeping the body free from pain. But there is a big problem on planet earth right now, rather, a twofold problem, as to why we are no longer getting these life-nurturing energies of the earth. In this book we’ll explore the current problem and how the new science of PEMF therapy (a branch of energy medicine), based on modern quantum field theory, is the solution to this problem, with the many benefits listed below: • eliminate pain and inflammation naturally • get deep, rejuvenating sleep • increase your energy and vitality • feel younger, stronger, and more flexible • keep your bones strong and healthy • help your body with healing and regeneration • improve circulation and heart health • plus many more benefits |

bemer therapy for cancer: The Apallic Syndrome G. Dalle Ore, E. Rothemund, F. Gerstenbrand, C. H. Lücking, G. Peters, U. H. Peters, 2012-12-06 The subject of the apallic syndrome is one which has long been familiar to me, although I have not personally studied it as deeply as I would have wished. I became acquainted with this syndrome long before the last war, when my neurosurgical colleague Hugh Cairns (1952), made his pioneer contribution under the term akinetic mutism . This was an ar resting title, but it was one which did not altogether satisfy some of his colleagues, includ ing myself. We found it difficult to suggest an alternative. That is one reason why I wel come the expression apallic syndrome . Forensic practice has forced me from time to time to consider rather more deeply this distressing syndrome, and to try and marshal my ideas in a form which would satisfy my colleagues in the legal profession. More than once I have been instructed to make a medico legal assessment of these unfortunate patients. The points which have concerned my lawyer friends have not been matters of diagnosis, or of morbid anatomy, or of etiology. The fac tual problem which has been put before me was to make some approximate assessment as to the expectation of life. Vague guess-work is unacceptable in such circumstances. What the lawyers require is a precise and dogmatic answer. |
