Intended for kids ages 8–12, Heaven for Kids is sure to be an excellent resource for families, especially those in which the parents have read the adult title and wish to pass on that same level of understanding to their children. The book features ten chapters of questions and answers based on Scripture and is written in a style relevant to today’s kids. The book addresses kids’ common questions about Heaven, like: Can we be sure we’ll go to Heaven instead of hell? How can we know what Heaven is like if we’ve never seen it? Will we have real bodies in Heaven? Will we actually see God? What happens to us the second after we die? The book also has a summary of the gospel for those who want to be sure they are going to Heaven someday. bible study lessons for youth pdf: Because Melinda Poitras, 2017-12-16 Because: A Youth Study You've all heard it.... Because I said so! It's a phrase uttered by mothers (and others with authority) around the globe. It is technically an answer, of course, but falls short of being a satisfactory one. When it comes to matters of doctrine and faith, a because I said so answer will not do. We must understand why we speak, act, and live righteously. There is a right way, and we can know it is best, just because He said so. Help your youth understand Why This book is a great conversation starter for use in Sunday School classes or as a youth Bible Study series. It will get them thinking about , and perhaps more importantly, talking about why Christians are called to live differently than the broader surrounding culture. And it doesn't mince words. Study Questions in each chapter At the end of each chapter, we've included study questions to help you capture, on a single page, some of the key ideas brought out in the chapter. This will help their retention and make it easier to go back and refresh their memory at a glance. About The Author Melinda was born in Alabama, raised in Ghana, and currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri. She has been many places and is grateful that God is the same in all of them. She lives to promote His name and fame in any and every possibly way. Writing is her favorite way. Someone wise once told her that if she would write, it would enable others to run. That's what she wants to do more than anything: enable others to run. So, she writes what she can from her own heart, ever praying that the Lord take them and turn them to fuel for someone else's. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Habakkuk 2:2 Scroll back up and grab your copy. |

bible study lessons for youth pdf: The Bible Story Handbook John H. Walton, Kim E. Walton, 2010-09-03 How do Sunday school teachers lead children through the stories of Cain and Abel or Judas's betrayal in a way that reflects the authority of Scripture? Sunday school curricula often glosses over difficult lessons or focuses too much on characters in Bible stories, neglecting God's self-revelation in Scripture. John and Kim Walton have created this handbook for 175 Bible stories to assist teachers and parents in knowing what each story teaches and how to present it in a God-centered way. As they work their way through the Bible, the Waltons examine seven elements in each story: focus, theme, application, place in the Bible, interpretational issues, historical and cultural background, and age-group appropriateness. The Bible Story Handbook includes introductory articles on why we teach the Bible, right and wrong ways to use the Bible, and ends with a two-year teaching plan. Every parent and Sunday school teacher will find this unique resource to be invaluable in teaching children to know and love God. |

bible study lessons for youth pdf: The Fourfold Gospel J. W. McGarvey, Philip Y. Pendleton, 2010-03 The classic Harmony of the Gospels by J. W. McGarvey and Philip Y. Pendleton with interspersed comments. Attractively re-typeset, this enduring work is a valuable resource to modern Bible students. In most commentaries a fifth or sixth of the space is taken up in drawing distinctions between the texts of the four Gospels, while in this work these distinctions are placed before the reader's eye, where he can see them for himself at a glance. Moreover, in other commentaries, which give the text, another sixth or seventh of the work is taken up in reprinting in the notes that portion of the text concerning which the commentator wishes to speak. Our interjected method avoids all this needless repetition, and makes it possible for us to present the comment with the least preliminary verbiage or introductory setting. Time is also saved because the reader does not have to look back and forth from the text at the top to the comment at the bottom of the page. Again, other commentaries lose a large amount of space by using the King James text. Those which preceded the revision waste space correcting the translation and modernizing its English: those published since the revision suffer a similar waste by drawing endless comparisons between the two texts. By choosing the American revision as the basis for our work, we have a text which needs but little explanation or apology, and we are thereby enabled to employ the reader's time and strength to his best advantage. --Excerpted from the Introduction |
bible study lessons for youth pdf: Becoming a Girl of Grace Catherine Bird, 2017-02-14 Moms and daughters will be empowered to embrace the girls of grace God designed them to be instead of conforming to society’s mold of normal. As a mom of two daughters, Catherine understands how unique the mother/daughter bond truly is. A few years ago, she looked tirelessly for a Bible study to share with her tween daughter. Catherine found countless options for children and teens but very few for the tween age group—and none of these options were designed for moms and tween daughters to share together. Recognizing an unfulfilled need, Catherine wrote Becoming a Girl of Grace. Moms and daughters will take a closer look at some of the amazing ladies of the Bible and the character traits they model for modern tween girls. These women of yesterday have a lot to share with the girls of today! Dealing with mean girls and bullies, feeling left out, and learning to like oneself are not new social dilemmas. The Bible is full of examples of strong females who chose to follow God and pursue faith despite what was happening in their world and cultures. |
