Love Trauma Open Heart Hot Response Trails of The Heart Healing of The Heart Reviews A beautifully written book about second chances and enduring love. An HEA that reads like a fairytale. Two enchanting characters whose lives lead them apart and then back together. Well done, Ms Scott! Liz Coxe I have followed Ruby's career since book #1 and I must say that all her books are worth it. Maybe you will enjoy some stories more than others, but with this one, she has shown how good she has become as an author! This is a slow burn romance, so if you believe in second chances and love at first sight, you will enjoy this book for sure! Compared with her other books, this one feels different, but in a good way, you can feel the deep emotions behind the words and the sentiment in it! The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and it's cute! It's a light reading, you can read it in one sit or you can enjoy it at your own pace. Even tho it's from a series, you can read it as a standalone. Pattz What a book! So much chemistry! Well done, Ruby Scott! Melissa Moody Wow, another heartfelt story. I love the main characters. There was hot, passionate, understanding, loving, support, you name it, this book had it. Exceptionally well written, congratulations. Christine Reid I’ve read and loved all of Ruby’s stories. Constantly dodging his ex's calls and text messages was wearing on Tuck. He didn't care what she had to say. He'd ended things with her and nothing she said would change his mind. As his eyes scan the dance floor, they land on a beautiful strawberry blonde woman in a hot little black dress and heels. The way she dances and moves to the music is inspiring. She spins around and he's completely caught off guard to discover that it's Kylie, his friend the computer whiz. Where had she been hiding this version of herself? In his drunken state all he can think is that he has to have her. What's a girl supposed to do when the man she's been half in love with since the very first kiss he gave her at fourteen says he has to have you? You go with him obviously. The night was everything Kylie could have ever hoped for—hot, steamy, earth moving—until he calls her another woman's name and passes out. Devastated, she tries to leave but realizes she has no car. She's all set to call for a cab, but one of his club brothers stumbles across her and offers to give her a ride home. Several weeks go by with no word from Tuck. Then the club president calls and offers her a job, but she's worried about seeing Tuck again. Not only does she see him at the Sons of Redemption clubhouse, she sees him with another woman. Before she can seal the deal on her new job and get out of there, she runs into Tuck and by the time she's done talking to him, she realizes he has no memory of their night together. Unbelievable.

Marvelous.” —AJ Finn, author of The Woman in the Window My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me: 1. I’m in a coma. 2. My husband doesn’t love me anymore. 3. Sometimes I lie. Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can’t move. She can’t speak. She can’t open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn’t remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from twenty years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

did jo cheat on taylor: Critical Mathematics Education Paul Ernest, Bharath Sriraman, Nuala Ernest, 2016-01-01 Mathematics is traditionally seen as the most neutral of disciplines, the furthest removed from the arguments and controversy of politics and social life. However, critical mathematics challenges these assumptions and actively attacks the idea that mathematics is pure, objective, and value?neutral. It argues that history, society, and politics have shaped mathematics—not only through its applications and uses but also through molding its concepts, methods, and even mathematical truth and proof, the very means of establishing truth. Critical mathematics education also attacks the neutrality of the teaching and learning of mathematics, showing how these are value?laden activities indissolubly linked to social and political life. Instead, it argues that the values of openness, dialogicality, criticality towards received opinion, empowerment of the learner, and social/political engagement and citizenship are necessary dimensions of the teaching and learning of mathematics, if it is to contribute towards democracy and social justice. This book draws together critical theoretic contributions on mathematics and mathematics education from leading researchers in the field. Recurring themes include: The natures of mathematics and critical mathematics education, issues of epistemology and ethics; Ideology, the hegemony of mathematics, ethnomathematics, and real?life education; Capitalism, globalization, politics, social class, habitus, citizenship and equity. The book demonstrates the links between these themes and the discipline of mathematics, and its critical teaching and learning. The outcome is a groundbreaking collection unified by a shared concern with critical perspectives of mathematics and education, and of the ways they impact on practice.

did jo cheat on taylor: Love Lockdown Elizabeth Greenwood, 2021-07-13 This evocative and gripping investigative look into romantic relationships between incarcerated people and their spouses on the outside “is impossible to put down” (The Globe and Mail, Toronto). What is it like to fall in love with someone in prison? Over the course of five years, Elizabeth Greenwood followed the ups and downs of five couples who met during incarceration. In Love in the Time of Incarceration, she pulls back the curtain on the lives of the husbands and wives supporting some of the 2.3 million people in prisons around the United States. In the vein of Modern Love, this book shines a light on how these relationships reflect the desire and delusion we all experience in our romantic pairings. Love in the Time of Incarceration infiltrates spaces many of us have only heard whispers of—from conjugal visits to prison weddings to relationships between the incarcerated themselves. “A tour de force of empathetic nonfiction storytelling” (Vanessa Grigoriadis, author of Blurred Lines), Love in the Time of Incarceration changes the way you look at the American prison system and perhaps relationships in general. Previously published as Love Lockdown.
