docusign contract lifecycle management: A Practitioner's Guide To Digital Platform Business Chiraphol N Chiyachantana, David K Ding, Jack J Hong, 2022-02-25 This book is a practitioner's guide to digital business models for entrepreneurs, business executives, MBA and undergraduate students. Balancing both frameworks and real-life case studies, it provides readers with the tools for creating successful businesses in the digital age, while at the same time serving as a cautionary tale for those who value businesses by the technology they wield and not the strategies they execute. The business landscape in the last decade was surreal — exhilaration, fear, opportunities, threats, all rolled into one messy landscape. Never before had the world seen disruptions of such unprecedented speed, scope, and scale. Many business leaders were ready to pounce on the new opportunities, but most ended up defeated. They had not anticipated that most disruptive businesses used digital strategies and a small talent pool to sidestep the traditional competencies that mega-corporations had needed decades to build with legions of employees. The core technologies that power the businesses of today's digital giants still revolve around the internet, data, and computing resources. The sudden disruptions to the business landscape is better explained by the ability of digital businesses to further capitalize on the existing technological advancements. |

docusign contract lifecycle management: Organizational Culture and Performance Henrietta M. Okoro, 2022-12-15 The recent merger waves in most organizations fail to increase organizational performance and sustain a competitive advantage. Several U.S. organizational mergers failed to sustain market competition and retain employees. Most consolidated and merged banks in Nigeria are in distress and have failed to increase organizational performance. Currently, organizational leaders are facing challenges regarding how to integrate two or more merged cultures to maintain employee commitment, job satisfaction, and employee retention. The author used a quantitative correlational and regression study that collected data related to a merged bank in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria, to examine if a relationship existed between organizational culture and organizational performance. The study results indicated that a measure of the combination of cultural traits (mission, involvement, consistency, and adaptability) had a significant relationship with each of the organizational performance measures (employee commitment, job satisfaction, and employee retention). The need to provide solutions to the failed mergers and strategies for sustaining higher performance in partnership mergers and acquisitions becomes imperative. In this book, Henrietta Okoro integrates organizational culture traits with insights from research to provide readers with distinctive strategies to improve and sustain employee retention, job satisfaction, and higher organizational performance. Emphases were made on distressed banks, global bank mergers, acquisitions trends, and implications for sustainability. Recommendations were provided to leaders in various industries and future research prospects. The book highlights the factors of job satisfaction, employee commitment, thinking beyond financial gain in mergers and acquisitions, failure as a learning tool, and the cultural traits necessary to sustain creativity and higher organizational performance. Throughout the book, Henrietta Okoro draws from compelling examples of the merged organizations and research in the social sciences to demonstrate the relationship between organizational culture and performance and how it can enhance employee retention, job satisfaction, and higher organizational performance. The book further provides an excellent resource for business sectors that grasp market globalization, organizational leaders, higher institutions, scholars, professionals, researchers, and project managers, in various industries and other corporate sectors with the synergy intent of merger and acquisition to sustain market diversification, improved performance, customer base, and business synergy expansion. |

docusign contract lifecycle management: Legal Data for Banking Akber Datoo, 2019-04-26 A practical, informative guide to banks’ major weakness Legal Data for Banking defines the legal data domain in the context of financial institutions, and describes how banks can leverage these assets to optimise business lines and effectively manage risk. Legal data is at the heart of post-2009 regulatory reform, and practitioners need to deepen their grasp of legal data management in order to remain compliant with new rules focusing on transparency in trade and risk reporting. This book provides essential information for IT, project management and data governance leaders, with detailed discussion of current and best practices. Many banks are experiencing recurrent pain points related to legal data management issues, so clear explanations of the required processes, systems and strategic governance provide immediately-relevant relief. The recent financial crisis following the collapse of major banks had roots in poor risk data management, and the regulators’ unawareness of accumulated systemic risk stemming from contractual obligations between firms. To avoid repeating history, today’s banks must be proactive in legal data management; this book provides the critical knowledge practitioners need to put the necessary systems and practices in place. Learn how current legal data management practices are hurting banks Understand the systems, structures and strategies required to manage risk and optimise business lines Delve into the regulations surrounding risk aggregation, netting, collateral enforceability and more Gain practical insight on legal data technology, systems and migration The legal contracts between firms contain significant obligations that underpin the financial markets; failing to recognise these terms as valuable data assets means increased risk exposure and untapped business lines. Legal Data for Banking provides critical information for the banking industry, with actionable guidance for implementation. |

docusign contract lifecycle management: Valley of Genius Adam Fisher, 2014-11-04 This is the most important book on Silicon Valley I've read in two decades. It will take us all back to our roots in the counterculture, and will remind us of the true nature of the innovation process, before we tried to tame it with slogans and buzzwords. -- Po Bronson, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Nudist on the Late Shift and Nurtureshock A candid, colorful, and comprehensive oral history that reveals the secrets of Silicon Valley -- from the origins of Apple and Atari to the present day clashes of Google and Facebook, and all the start-ups and disruptions that happened along the way. Rarely has one economy asserted itself as swiftly--and as aggressively--as the entity we now know as Silicon Valley. Built with a seemingly permanent culture of reinvention, Silicon Valley does not fight change; it embraces it, and now powers the American economy and global innovation. So how did this omnipotent and ever-morphing place come to be? It was not by planning. It was, like many an empire before it, part luck, part timing, and part ambition. And part pure, unbridled genius... Drawing on over two hundred in-depth interviews, Valley of Genius takes readers from the dawn of the personal computer and the internet, through the heyday of the web, up to the very moment when our current technological reality was invented. It interweaves accounts of invention and betrayal, overnight success and underground exploits, to tell the story of Silicon Valley like it has never been told before. Read it to discover the stories that Valley insiders tell each other: the tall tales that are all, improbably, true. |

Instead, their strongest responses stem from one source: emotion. It's a deceptively simple reality. But it permanently changes the way organizations must go about understanding their customers. Why Customers Really Buy introduces emotional-trigger research, a revolutionary new approach that uncovers the core, unfiltered, and spontaneous triggers that drive customer sales. Traditional market research is outmoded and counterproductive because old methods measure rather than inform. They generate predictable answers that confirm preconceived assumptions. Emotional-trigger research is a powerfully different method that gets to the heart of what companies need to know. Based on an indirect approach that features provocative questions, insightful listening, and in-depth conversations, the results are more spontaneous and enlightening. This book equips sales and marketing professionals with: The keys to solving the mystery of how customer decisions are really made Twelve real-world case studies illustrating how emotional-trigger research solved many of the most pressing sales/marketing challenges companies confront Twelve universal sales/marketing lessons revealed through emotional-trigger research and how to apply those lessons to diverse industries Why Customers Really Buy reveals how customers emotionally connect with a product or service, and goes to the very root of how to craft winning solutions to reach them. |

docusign contract lifecycle management: Reconceptualising Corporate Compliance Anna Donovan, 2021-02-25 This book offers a comprehensive examination of the issues surrounding corporate compliance. Should corporations comply with the spirit or the letter of the law? What role does compliance play in a capitalist market economy? Why is it that otherwise law-abiding citizens are willing to implement corporate compliance strategies that are seemingly at odds with their personal values? Dr Donovan responds to these questions and more, providing a persuasive argument for the legitimate role of spirited compliance within a market economy. In doing so, she employs the lens of classical liberal ideology, challenging the widespread view that technical compliance is simply 'capitalism.' In an examination that has relevance beyond the compliance arena, the author also explores how the architecture of the firm facilitates the often atypical compliance decisions that individuals make when acting within a corporate setting. The book draws on social psychology to offer important insights into how the often-elusive goal of corporate behavioural change can be achieved, for the benefit of both the market and society as a whole. Joint runner-up of the 2021 SLS Peter Birks Prize for Outstanding Legal Scholarship. |
