  fsi training courses 2022: Colombia: Technical Assistance Report-Financial Soundness Indicators Mission International Monetary, International Monetary Fund. Statistics Dept., 2022-02-18 The Statistics Department (STA) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) provided technical assistance (TA) on financial soundness indicators (FSI) to Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC) during August 30-September 3, 2021. The TA mission took place at the request of and with the support of the IMF’s Western Hemisphere Department (WHD). Due to travel restrictions because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the mission was conducted remotely via video conferences. The mission assisted the SFC officials to (i) review the characteristics of financial institutions and ensure proper classification of financial institutions as deposit-takers (DTs) or other financial corporations (OFCs) for the compilation of FSIs as set out in the IMF’s 2019 Financial Soundness Indicators Compilation Guide (2019 FSIs Guide); and (ii) develop a work program and timeline to revise the reported FSIs because of the mission’s work.

Statistics Dept., 2023-12-15 At the request of the Bank of Papua New Guinea (BPNG), and with the support of the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF’s) Asia and Pacific Department (APD), the Statistics Department (STA) conducted an in-person technical assistance (TA) mission on the compilation of financial soundness indicators (FSIs) during November 14-18, 2022, in Port Moresby. Prior to the mission, the BPNG was compiling and reporting a set of FSIs to STA which are disseminated in the IMF’s FSI data portal. The mission, in collaboration with the BPNG staff, updated the methodologies for compiling FSIs for deposit takers and developed new FSIs for life insurance corporations and pension funds in line with the 2019 FSIs Guide, for reporting to STA. This mission is financed by the Financial Sector Stability Fund (FSSF) FSIs Sub-Module.

It is the 13th edition of the International Conference on Compressors and their Systems, a three-day conference organised by the Centre for Compressors Technology at City, University of London in collaboration with, among other, the MEchE, IIR, and IOR. The conference offers a platform to identify current challenges in the field and provide the essential content and direction to shape future research. The International Conference on Compressors and their Systems series began in 1999 as a result of industrial consultation and a need for academic collaboration. Initially, the conference was organised by the Fluid Machinery Group of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) with the support of Holroyd. From 2009, the Centre for Compressor Technology at City, University of London took over its management and the conference is now one of the main conventions, taking place biennially in the UK, becoming world-renowned for its place in industry and academia to gather and discuss a broad range of topical issues related to compressors and compression systems. In fact, on the one hand, it is necessary to redefine the usability and management methods of built heritage through the adoption of digital, mobility, energy, ecological, social, green and blue infrastructures; on the other hand, it is necessary to introduce new qualitative and quantitative parameters and performance indicators, adequate to verify the validity of the implemented strategies in a perspective of adaptation to climate change, able to clarify contents, processes and tools to contrast future risks. The pursuit of these objectives refers to the innovation of training paths, professionalising procedures, administrative regulations, and public policies that involve citizens and the private partnership towards a different project qualification and empowerment of stakeholders, inhabitants, professionals, and clients. The Technological Project makes it possible to activate different interventions aimed at acting, in an integrated manner, on assets, context and communities, according to an approach that reinterprets them on a common score, as proposed by the European Next Generation programme in three priority aspects: digitalisation and innovation, environmental transition, increased resilience and social sustainability of national economies. In this scenario, the interventions aimed at outlining sustainable development actions will have to place these concepts at the centre in a harmonious vision that starts from the recognition and enhancement of the Architectural Heritage, recognising it as a fundamental asset of the territories.

How do we get from only fighting to also talking? In The Costs of Conversation, Oriana Skylar Mastro argues that states are primarily concerned with the strategic costs of conversation, and these costs need to be low before combatants are willing to engage in direct talks with their enemy. Specifically, Mastro writes, leaders look to two factors when determining the probable strategic costs of demonstrating a willingness to talk: the likelihood the enemy will interpret openness to diplomacy as a sign of weakness, and how the enemy may change its strategy in response to such an interpretation. Only if a state thinks it has demonstrated adequate strength and resiliency to avoid the inference of weakness, and believes that its enemy has limited capacity to escalate or intensify the war, will it be open to talking with the enemy. Through four primary case studies—North Vietnamese diplomatic decisions during the Vietnam War, those of China in the Korean War and Sino-Indian War, and Indian diplomatic decision making in the latter conflict—The Costs of Conversation demonstrates that the costly conversations thesis best explains the timing and nature of countries' approach to wartime talks, and therefore when peace talks begin. Yet contemporary peace operations are asked to do much more, including unconventional roles of monitoring elections, facilitating transitions to the rule of law, distributing humanitarian aid, and resolving conflicts in civil societies undergoing transformation. This path-breaking work takes the lid off peace operations to explore missions (e.g., Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration) that go beyond traditional peacekeeping and the ways mission outcomes influence one another. This work begins by documenting patterns of peacekeeping missions in 70 UN operations, noting the dramatic increase in number and diversity since the end of the Cold War and the shift to conflicts with a substantial internal conflict component. The core of the book examines eight expectations about how different missions interact with one another. The expectations are guided by theoretical logics associated with sequencing, compatibility, and multitasking.
